Become a MONTHLY DONOR

Did you know that the bulk of our work is community-funded? That means individuals just like you made a donation commitment to help the humans & pets we serve, & the funds raised from that generosity are the reason why we are able to help so many people & pets. 

 

Most of our monthly donors have also committed to their gift after volunteering with our organization, knowing someone personally who has received our help, or after receiving help & getting on their feet. We also have donors who are unable to volunteer, so choose to donate instead to show their support for the work SOAR does.

 

Growing our Monthly Donors allows us to provide basic, urgent, and emergency vetting for pets who wouldn’t otherwise receive care. It allows us to help humans with rent expenses, pet deposits, & other needed supplies. It assists with training, application fees, & access to public transportation & communication. We do a lot, daily, & we can do even more with your help.

Monthly Donors receive our newsletter and blog, with SOAR updates, exciting news in the human-animal community, and thoughts/advice from our SOAR Founder and our SOAR Veterinarian.

Every dollar that is donated will allow us to continue our programs of street outreach, veterinary services, foster pet care, after care support, as well as education & advocacy in Indianapolis.  We are a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible.  EIN# 81-2227366

You can also make in-kind donations by purchasing items on our Amazon WISH LIST- we are constantly updating this list to reflect our current needs, which sometimes changes with the season.

Get Active with Us & VOLUNTEER

​

We need volunteers to help us with outreach, fostering pets, transporting pets to the vet, advocacy, and helping out at Fort Hopson, where many of our foster pets are housed. We always need help with cleaning, socializing animals, giving love & attention to dogs & cats, painting, and organizing.

​

We would love to work with more veterinarians, veterinary technicians/nurses, & social workers from our community to help with our Street Outreach Program & with pets & people going through our Crisis Response Foster Care Program. To help with our home base & the main location of our pets in foster, we love having volunteers who have skill sets such as painting, fencing, construction, & repairs.

ADVOCATE for SOAR & our clients

​

Spread the word about SOAR & all we do!  There is not nearly enough pet-friendly shelters & housing in Indianapolis, so SOAR fills a major gap in helping people receive services.  Advocating for pet-friendly shelters & housing is definitely needed- please let us know if you would like to join our policy & advocating efforts.
